Gatwick Airport

Gatwick is Horley’s unique neighbour. The nearness of this international airport has a major effect on Horley and the surrounding villages. Our road system, local transport, guest houses, business parks and many of our local businesses have been built under the influence of Gatwick Airport.

Gatwick’s second runway.

After much deliberation the Government has decided to expand Heathrow. There will be no second runway at Gatwick for the time being.

How will Horley and Gatwick change if there is to be no second runway?

Development in our area will continue. Business will continue to thrive, the railway station at Gatwick is being enlarged, new bus routes are opening – and Horley is still a great place to do business.
