Aviation 2050 — the future of UK aviation
Response to the ‘Legislation for enforcing the development of airspace change proposals’ section, annex A of the consultation document, of the ‘Aviation 2050 – the future of UK aviation’ consultation. This is not the final outcome of the ‘Aviation 2050 – the future of UK aviation’ consultation, which will be added when completed. The response concludes that the government intends to:
- take forward new powers for the Secretary of State (delegable to the CAA) to direct that airspace change proposals are taken forward by airports or other relevant bodies
- take forward its sanctions and penalties regime proposal
- give the CAA the responsibility for enforcing the sanctions and penalties regime
The response includes an impact assessment on ‘Enforcing the development of airspace change proposals’.
