Horley High Street Development Updates

Additional Restrictions Grants

Briefly discussed in the Horley town Management Meeting, more details have been released in relation to the renovation of areas throughout Surrey, including Horley High Street.

A total of £30 Million is being discussed to go towards seven capital projects throughout surrey.

£8.64 Million of Funding for these projects is coming from Surrey County Council, with the remaining amount to be provided by external funding sources.

These projects are set to include active and sustainable travel schemes to provide Surrey residents with greener options of travel, whilst improving air quality and creating overall healthier places to live. Town centre regeneration schemes are to support economic growth and provide the necessary infrastructure for growing communities.

Horley High Street improvement scheme, as part of the town centre regeneration schemes, aims to create spaces that are safer and more attractive. This project will be concentrated along the High Street, between the precinct and the pedestrian bridge over the railway.
