Support for Local Start-ups and Small Businesses

How Reigate and Banstead Borough Council could Support you.

Reigate and Banstead offers a business support Grant of up to £1000 and is available to small businesses looking to start, develop or grow. Grants can be used to help fund new or improved equipment like machinery or tools through to IT and training.

To be eligible you must either live in the borough or your business must be based in the borough and have fewer than 4 employees. After you fill in the online application and send your supporting documents, you will be invited to a short online interview to discuss your business ideas.

For successful businesses, a second grant can be awarded. To qualify you must be able to demonstrate growth since being awarded the initial grant and have strong and concrete growth plans which the grant will help you achieve. Note: a second grant would be considered for recruitment costs to take on additional staff or an apprentice, not for replacement equipment.

Successful Business Support Grant applications will also get one year’s free membership to Enterprise Nation.
