Horley High Street and Subway Improvements: Tell Us Your Views

Reigate and Banstead Borough Council would like to know what you think about ideas for public space improvements to the High Street and subway.

Consultation is now underway on the proposals to help the town centre better serve local people and boost the local economy.

New seating, planting and signage in the High Street aim to enhance its look and feel, along with improvements to make it safer and easier to use by pedestrians and to encourage cycling and walking.

Horley subway will be refurbished to improve accessibility and create a safer, well-lit and more welcoming space, as well as improving the structure and addressing drainage issues.

The proposals form part of Reigate & Banstead Borough Council’s ‘Delivering Change in Horley Town Centre’ programme, to deliver a number of projects which aim to encourage visitors and investment. It is supported by Surrey County Council, Horley Town Council and Coast to Capital Local Enterprise Partnership.

The consultation runs until Monday 14 March. To find out more about the proposals and take part in the survey, visit www.reigate-banstead.gov.uk/deliveringchange
